本书基于工作过程和工作项目开发，介绍了函电和网上外贸及跨境电商平台等基本知识，在结构上主要以外贸交易磋商过程和外贸合同磋商、履行中的函电为两条主线，分为五部分。*部分介绍了外贸函电的基本知识；第二部分概述了网上外贸和跨境电商;第三部分讲述了建立商务关系、询价、报价、接受的交易过程；第四部分讲述了外贸合同内容的磋商和履行，包括质量、数量、包装、价格、运输、保险、支付、检验、索赔、仲裁、争议解决；第五部分讲述了合同、信用证及其修改和其他国际贸易方式。

李卫，国际贸易专业建设指导委员会委员，辽宁经济职业技术学院商务流通管理系，国贸教研室主任，副教授。讲授《经济英语》、《外贸英语函电》、《国际贸易实务》、《商务英语》等；组织并辅导“剑桥商务英语证书（BEC）”、“报关员证书”等职业资格证书报名和考试，主要负责人。
