百部中国经典戏曲作品为孔子学院对外文化宣传的教材之一，以精彩片段视频赏析为主，通过100个戏曲剧目讲述100个经典故事，在讲故事的同时体验中国文化精髓。视频内容加配中英文字幕，制作成DVD光盘。同时印制配套纸质教材，教材的文字内容主要包括两部分：（1）经典剧目所讲述的故事和赏析要点；（2）中国戏曲文化概述及主要剧种简介。其中中国经典戏曲剧种包含了京昆及地方戏的14个剧种的100部剧目。全书图文并茂，以中英文文字和音像结合的形式，立体形象的展现出中国传统戏曲的艺术魅力。
