本书在内容安排以“专题”为切人点，突出国际私法的一般制度和法律适用问题。所选择的案例取材于我国司 法实践中的真实案件，体现了实践性与应用性的结合。在体例上力求创新，在每一节相关问题中将基本知识点与案例分析相结合，再连接到相关的法律法规、司法解释和文献资料，以便研究生进一步深入学习和探讨。在附录部分增加了拓展研究的内容，列出我国参加的有关国际私法公约的目录、国际私法专业术语中英文对照表、常用网络资料检索网址、以及《民法（草案）》第九编“涉外民事关系的法律适用法”。
