《数论：1987年在乌尔姆举行的Journees Arithmetiques数论大会会议记录（英文）》又是一本国际数论会议论文集的影印版，首版是由著名的斯普林格出版社出版的。
也许有读者会问：为什么不重新排版而采用影印版这种形式，我们认为版式尽管重要，但内容更重要，记得在一篇怀念苏步青先生的文章里提到的优秀教材还是油印的呢！
在苏老先生的参加下，由沪上一些志愿改革的著名中学教师和一些著名大学教师，讨论制订了体系和大纲，首先由余元希等在参考国外教材（当时有日本和苏联的教材）的基础上，从我国已有教材、过去解放前的教材和此前的“革新数学教材”出发提出初稿，经过热烈讨论和激烈辩论后，形成草案，编出油印教材初稿，在复兴中学试教后，再组织编写人员编写.经反复撰写修改后由上海教育出版社（主要是张曾漪，后来来了冯贤）出版，在少数学校试教，这套教材首版出了供3个年级6个学期用的6册（1963年至1966年陆续出版）。
《数论：1987年在乌尔姆举行的Journees Arithmetiques数论大会会议记录（英文）》成书于20世纪80年代，大多数论文还是用老式打字机打出来的，以今天的眼光看既不优又不美，但它胜在内容上。
