《数论，诺德韦克豪特1983：1983年在诺德韦克豪特举行的Journees Arithmetiq》是一本国际数论会议的论文集的影印版。
有人说搞数学研究需要的是创造力，并不需要像治文史一样要读很多书。
鲁迅虽曾半嘲讽地说过，《四库总目提要》是“能做成你好像看过很多书”的“秘本”，但他自己却是下过工夫的，因为它是古典目录学的集大成之作。其四部总叙与各类小序连缀起来，俨然一部乾隆以前的中国学术小史，通读一遍，实有必要，这部二百卷的巨著，一般是用以查阅的。每遇未谙的典籍，研读相关提要，在治学用书上，往往得益良多。
首先，数学研究没有什么中国特色或国内领先，其成果要么是世界首位，要么就是重复已有结论，所以了解别人用什么方法、解决了哪些难题十分必要。
其次，搞数论史的研究者对此也有需求。看看Dickson的《数论史》（I、II、III卷），就知道什么是收罗之勤了。
《数论，诺德韦克豪特1983：1983年在诺德韦克豪特举行的Journees Arithmetiq》是1983年在Noordwijkerhout举行的Jourhees Arithnetiques数论大会的会议记录。
1961年的一个周末，法国数论家们聚集在Grenoble并举办了六次关于这个主题的讲座，在随后的“算术之旅”研讨会（Joumees Arithmetiques）上这个主题得到了证明，同时这个为期五天的会议变得广为人知，随后，分别在Lille（1963），Besancon（1965），Grenoble（1967），Bordeaux（1969），Marseille Saint-Jerome（1971），Grenoble（1973），Bordeaux（1974），Caen（1976），Marsellle-Luminy（1978）也举办了这样的讲座。1980年的研讨会是由伦敦数学学会在英国Exeter举办的，作为回报，法国数学家们盛情款待了来自国外的数学工作者们，1981年在Metz举行会议之后，荷兰成为第13届“算术之旅”研讨会的主办国。
