本书是为培养我国国际物流业所需的既能熟练掌握国际物流专业知识，又能熟练运用专业英语从事国际物流具体业务的复合型人才而专门编写的双语教材，同时也能帮助那些具备一定英语基础并初步具有国际物流专业知识的专业人员提高国际物流专业英语水平，利用英语直接从事和研究国际物流的实际和理论工作。本书共分12章，每章包括3个部分。部分是课文，该部分用中英文全面系统地阐述了国际物流领域的各个重要环节。第二部分是词汇和术语。该部分紧扣课文，提供与课文内容相关的常用词汇和专业术语。第三部分是练习。该部分充分体现了教材的双语特点，既有中文练习又有英文练习，也便于读者自学。本书可作为高等院校物流管理、物流工程专业以及相关专业的学生学习国际物流理论与实务的教材，也可作为从事国际物流工作的专业人士的自学参考书。
