作者简介

    阿南史代(Virgillia Helen Stibbs
Arlarni又名吉霓)，1944年生于美国。1970年获日本国籍。吉霓及儿子友亮(生于1972年)和女儿美佳(生于1975年)曾跟随作为外交官的丈夫，大使先生阿南惟茂在美国，日本，巴基斯坦、澳大利亚和中国居住。2006年。她受邀成为北京市旅游局的顾问。吉霓求学时主修东亚历史地理。获学士和硕士学位。她曾教授中国和日本的历史、佛教史、地理与社会。现执教于日本东京Temple大学。著作有《寻访北京的古?——古树·雄石·宝水》，《西町：文化的十字路口》。

    在二十多年的时间里。吉霓调查研究北京的历史遗迹，古老村落，树木与宗教圣地，拍摄了大量照片。她如此享受与居住在这个城市中的普通人或者村民们谈天说地。聆听他们的故事。这些经历，使得她九次参与在中国和日本举办的摄影展。其中包括“千年古道：在今日北京寻找辽金遗迹”展览，“北京乡村摄影展”，浙江温州博物馆的一洋’眼看北京”摄影展，以及在北京(2005年)和江苏扬州(2006年)举行的。追寻圆仁的足迹”摄影展。
