爱德华 钱宁（Edward Channing，1856-1931)，美国著名历史学家，1883- 1929年曾在世界著名的哈佛大学历史系任教。他倾注毕生精力撰写的《美国历史》，一直是美国标准的历史研究参考书，该书于1926年获普利策奖。
