外派人员的动机文化商与跨文化适应密切相关，是外派人员跨文化调整适应的一个显著预测。更为有趣的是，研究发现，澳大利亚外派到中国的管理层样本组的跨文化适应力优于中国外派到澳大利亚的管理层样本组；同时，中国外派到澳大利亚的非管理层样本组的跨文化适应力优于澳大利亚外派到中国的非管理层样本组。这表明，文化距离的不对称性是外派职位和跨文化适应之间关系的重要干扰变项，也就是说，外派文化流向的调节作用体现为，当从权力距离小的国家外派到权力距离大的国家时，管理岗位的外派人员跨文化适应力越优；反之，从权力距离大的国家外派到权力距离小的国家时，非管理岗位的外派人员表现出更好的跨文化适应力。

张颖，女，1980年生，2004年毕业于澳大利亚墨尔本大学获得教育管理学硕士学位，2014年毕业于澳大利亚查尔斯特大学商学院获得跨文化管理学博士学位。师从国外著名管理学与结构方程学家Edward Oczkowski教授。现为云南财经大学国际工商学院研究生教育中心副主任兼讲师，主要讲授国际人力资源管理，跨文化商务沟通，国际商务英语，国际市场营销战略。已出版《战略管理：获得与保持竞争优势》、《消失的地平线》中英文评注版等译著，在Cross-cultural Management: An International Journal，Human Resource Development Review,《思想战线》等SSCI核心期刊发表学术论文多篇，并作为主要成员参研数项澳大利亚科学研究项目。
